Jamaican
The Fiberfab Jamaican was a body kit sold from the mid 1960s for MGA, Austin Healey, Triumph TR3 and TR4, and eventually VW. They also built their own chassis, for use with V8 power, and manufactured complete cars (see Road & Track, March 1969 for one manufactured by them on an MGA chassis using a 215 V8).
They are VERY low - at 44", about 4 inches lower than a Fiero, an inch lower than a Ferrari Dino, an inch and a half lower than a Lotus Elise and only a couple of inches higher than a Lotus Europa. Height at 44" compares to MGA at 50". MGA width was 58", Jamaican 63.5". Length - MGA - 156", Jamaican 163.5".
This is a 1956 built MGA that was rebodied in the late 1960s with a new Jamaican body. I have been posting pictures of the restoration and conversion of the car as I installed a 1994 GM 3.4 V6 engine and T5 transmission in it and refurbished just about everything else. I have also fitted disc brakes on the front end in the interest of safety, but am leaving the MGA rear end in place with suitable gears and will retain the wire wheels, although am replacing them with modern (and much stronger) Dayton chromed Cobra wheels (15" x 6").

The top row represents current state with older photos below. The car took me 15 months of work to completely restore and modify. The only parts retained were the body and frame and the rear axle housing - everything else has been replaced. The Road & Track letter from 2007 was published shortly after completion. The MG Enthusiast article has more details on the build.
